An Evening with
John McDonald
Limehouse Memorial Hall, 7 p.m
Sponsored by the Milton Historical Society, local historian John McDonald
gave an interesting and informative talk on the lime kilns and the history
of Limehouse. The presentation was illustrated by a unique personal collection
of antique postcards of Limehouse and the area. A Limehouse native, Mr.
McDonald initiated the momentum to preserve the kilns many years ago,
and was instrumental in protecting the draw kiln. He remains involved
in the Society and its work.
